she didn't know how long she stayed like that, how long she stayed on the person who carried her.

she dozed off while she was carried.

oh my God! how stupid of you Davina, she chided herself. how could she sleep in the midst of danger.

she was being kidnapped and she slept?

where had they taken her to?

she woke up because she felt someone drop her.

she then opened her eyes.

"Alexis, are you alright?"

she couldn't count how many heads surrounded her now.

they all looked at her with worried eyes.

then a guy came in front of her, blocking the other heads and placed his palm on her cheek.

"Alexis" he called "what happened?"

Pete?

Oh my God!! Pete? what was her brother doing here with this weird people and why did he join them to call her Alexis. Did Agnes do something to him too?

where was that bitch?

"Pete?" she said as she stared at him. "look Pete, I'm sorry I called you a man whore. I was just mad at Maxine and I took it out on you and Claire. Although you haven't even been a good brother to me and you deserved that but now I'm in a bit of a bind and I....."

she put a pause to her babbling when she noticed the confused look he gave her.

"Pete.....?"

"who's Pete?" he asked, confused

Davina opened her mouth to talk, but closed it back. what was going on?

"Alex love, tell me what Ray did to you. I'll tell Calvin and he'll punish....."

no! no! no! she could not take this anymore. she stood up from where she sat abruptly

"what the hell is going on? Pete why are you calling me Alexis? I'm not Alexis, I'm Davina. of course I should not be explaining this to you...."

He held her arm firmly.

"calm down. you need rest and after that, we'll let you talk....."

Davina scoffed. she couldn't count the number of times she'd scoffed since she left Maxine. For crying out loud, this was crazy.

"rest! rest! rest! For God's sake I'm not resting. I can't even rest. how do you expect me to rest. First that weird lady at the riverbank was telling me to rest now you...." she paused. Did Maxine make him do this? maybe to punish her for the fierce outburst? was she in cahoots with Agnes?

"Did Maxine put you up to this?" she yelled " is she playing a prank on me?"

Davina screamed all the more as tears of frustration and confusion welled up in her eyes.

"are you guys playing a freaking prank on me? did Maxine send you and that bitch, Agnes to punish me for yelling at her?"

"what the hell is going on?"

she could not hold back anymore. she broke down in tears and the man who looked like Pete but acted like he wasn't Pete wrapped his arms around her and she cried out on his chest.

"what's going on there?" she heard a loud male voice and she raised her head from the guy's arm to see who it was. Suddenly all the people that gathered around her, parted, paving way for the guy who spoke to pass.

"Alexis?" he exclaimed when he saw her tear stained face then he rushed to her and hugged her then placed a kiss on her forehead.

"what happened? I was about to go visit Raymond. I was about to go make a bargain for your safety and release. but how are you here? how......?"

Davina detached herself from his grasp

"look" she began "let me explain stuff to you because you look like the only sensible one here. you are mistaken"

she spread her hands "all of you are mistaken. I'm not Alexis. I'm not Alexis. I'm not Alexis. how many times do I have to say it?. I don't even know her. I haven't met any Alexis in my whole life"

they all fell silent. Tension and confusion, evident in the atmosphere.

"what are you saying, my love. Did Raymond do anything to you....." the man asked

"no! nobody did nothing to me! who's Raymond? I haven't even met Raymond, whoever he is. Stop asking me that. nobody did nothing to me "

except Agnes, she thought, and Maxine too. For all she knew, it was Agnes who put her in this mess in the first place but she wouldn't have met Agnes if it weren't for Maxine so they both shared the blame.

"is she sick, Dante? where did you find her?" the man wasn't talking to her this time but to the guy who looked like Pete.

"I'm not sure of that. Maybe Raymond or Amber tortured her somehow and it messed with her brain. Derek and Grant, my wolves found her" the guy who looked like Pete responded

why did they keep saying wolves? were there any wolves around? or did these people keep wolves as pets? she felt like she hadn't seen the last of these strange people.

"does she have some kind of memory loss? the man asked the guy who looked like Pete again, then turned to her

"do you recognize me?" he asked Davina

"I don't know you" she responded curtly

"okay what about your brother, Dante? do you recognize him?" the man asked Davina again

"why do you call him Dante? he's Pete " she said to the man then she went to the guy who she thought was Pete.

"tell them Pete. tell them you know me. tell them I'm your sister , Davina and not Alexis. tell them how badly you, Claire and Maxine treated me" she said to him "why are you quiet? why are you not saying anything? say something to them"

"I think Raymond or Amber hurt her head somehow. let's call the salutary wolves to come and know what's wrong with her" the guy who looked like Pete said to the other guy

she lost her cool then.

"there's nothing wrong with me or my head. I am totally fine. you are are the ones being delusional because you keep calling me Alexis. that's insane! you don't even know me!!"

she yelled fiercely

the other guy came over to her and held her head between his palms

"don't worry my love, let's go in, so I'll put you to sleep and while you're asleep, I'll call the salutary wolves to attend to you " he said

Ewww! she thought, how did he plan to put her to sleep? even if he was good looking, ewww! Whatsoever prank Agnes had pulled with her or wheresoever she had taken her to, she had to say, these people were delirious. wolves again? what business did wolves have with them? and what did it have to do with her? she couldn't help her curiosity

"wolves?" she asked

"yes love" he replied

"you guys are planning to feed my body to wolves right?" she yelled

everyone present there, gasped

"what?" he exclaimed

"then how am I supposed to explain this whole absurdity?"

she yelled louder

"look. I ran from home. that was my only crime. then this weird woman took me in an said weird things to me. she wanted me to believe she's psychic" Davina rambled on

"I didn't believe any of her crap so she maliciously threw me into a river and made all of you pretend like you know me. so, drop the foolish act now because I'm not Alexis. you really ---" she was suddenly cut off by what she saw.

she saw wolves. real wolves. she felt her breath begin to leave her.

she pointed towards them in terror and everyone looked their direction

"what.... what" she gasped

just then she saw the most unbelievable sight ever, something she'd only seen in movies. something she would have never believed if someone told her about it.

she saw the two wolves morphing. human legs appeared, then human hands, then a head with eyes, nose and mouth, just like hers.

the wolves she saw just a second ago had turned into human beings. where the hell was she? what had Agnes done to her? where had she taken her to?

she couldn't take this no more. she let out a loud terrified shriek and passed out, due to the shock of it all.
