She felt like a light weight. Her head still spun, she couldn't feel her body and she....drank water.

water?

Her consciousness slowly came back.

where was she? she opened her eyes and all she saw was blue.

then it dawned on her. Water? she was inside water.

her previous memories came flooding in. Agnes.....yes, Agnes. Wait a minute, was Agnes responsible for this? that con artist of a woman threw her into a pool?

just freaking great! she thought sarcastically.

she felt lucky in the midst of her present predicament because she could swim very well. That was part of the things she benefitted from Maxine's maltreatment.

okay, she had to get out of this pool and then she would go back to Agnes's house and demand an explanation to this trickery.

the pool was fairly deep but still she managed to swim to the surface.

she got out of the water and surveyed her drenched clothes. she would probably catch a cold now. why did Agnes do this to her after taking her in first? did she have some kind of split personality?

well now, Agnes had a lot of explaining to do. She'd just head back to Agnes's house and demand an explanation and compensation.

she started off then paused. where was this place? was there any riverbank she was unaware of? no! she doubted that because Maxine sent her to literally all the riverbanks, both far and near to fetch water. So why did this place look unfamiliar?

"Derek, fetch it! " she heard someone say that and she decided to follow the voice and when she found people, she would ask them for directions.

She once never had to ask for directions, the thought of it was absurd because she knew almost everywhere but now why didn't she know this place? Did Agnes do something to mess with her brain and make her not to recognise things and places? What the hell was happening?

she followed the voice and she found two men and a lady. The both men wore small clothing on their waist and stayed bare chested. Although she'd have to admit, they were ripped.

"hello" she called, to grab their attention.

the reaction she got from them when they saw her was bizarro. She hadn't induced such reaction from anyone before

"Alexis!!" the three of them chorused and then, to her utmost surprise, they all bowed down before her.

the lady got up and rushed to her

"where have you been, Alexis?" the lady said

"yes tell us. We've all been worried about you since the news of your kidnap spread throughout the packs" the man said

"we need to keep you safe first " the lady said and dragged her towards a tree's shade

"we'll go alert Dante" the two men chorused, bowed before her again and rushed off

this was surreal. she pinched herself hard on her cheek, she pinched hard enough to wake her from any sort of dream she was having?

who the hell was Alexis? and why were people she'd never set her eyes on bowing down to her. Was she some sort of deity?

whatever the hell this was, it just wasn't in any of her concerns. she had to get back home or to Agnes's house or wherever, just not in this place or with this people.

"where have you been Alexis" the lady asked her again

she let out a short cold laugh

"look, You guys are mistaken. I'm not Alexis. I don't even know who the girl is" she explained

"how can you say that?"the lady said, visibly alarmed. She placed a palm on Davina's head "Did Ray do anything to you? or did Amber touch you? Did anyone hurt you? You can confide in me" she lady said, her voice laced with a plea

"I have no idea...." Davina begun

"Don't worry Alexis, don't fret too much. I'll inform the salutary wolves and they'll know what to do about your...."

A part of the lady's speech caught Davina's attention in an alarming way.

"did you just say wolves?" she asked

"yes "the lady stared at her intently "you know what Alexis, just stay still. Just rest a bit. You shouldn't strain yourself, you've been through a lot."

"listen, I just told you I'm not Alexis....."

"shhhhhh" the lady shushed her "they'll be no more problems when Dante comes. so just wait a little more "

"you know what woman," Davina raised her voice, frustrated now

"if this is some kind of joke, I'm done with it" she said as she got out from behind the tree .

"Agnes " she called loudly as she looked around.

"Agnes! okay I admit, you've got killer psychic powers, can you show yourself now?"

"Alexis!" the lady called, as she ran towards her

"stay away " she said and the lady stayed back " Agnes? where the hell are you? I'm done with this dumb ass prank..... show yourself and take me out of here "

Davina walked farther away from the tree's shade into the open as she kept on calling Agnes.

"Where the hell are you, Agnes. I never thought you'd turn out to be a bitch, just like Maxine. So why'd you pretend to car---" her speech was cut off as she felt something cover her head and then, she felt someone carry her up

she struggled against the person but it didn't work.

She could only bite her lip in agitation, after she'd finished struggling and pray that she wouldn't lose her young life.
