It's almost lunchtime when I finished all the proposals I needed to run a thorough check. I let out a deep sigh as I massaged my temple, closing my eyes and relaxing a bit, trying to concentrate and give myself a break for all the paperwork I had reviewed and signed today. When I opened my eyes, I caught a glimpse of another batch of papers under my table. Whispering my groan, I sighed heavily and stood up to avoid the piled papers.

"Are you okay, mom?" Jared's soft voice lingered in me as I massaged my hands as well as my fingers.
