ERIC’S POV
There was no elevator. I didn’t expect an old rusty place like this to have one. We made our way upstairs, the floorboards groaning under the sole of our shoes.
The door to Room 3 seemed stuck, refusing to open after I unlocked it with the key she gave. I had to slam my shoulder against it a couple of times before it could open. And when it did, the hinges creaked noisily as if ushering us into a haunted room no one has been in for years.
Inside, the room was barely more than four walls and a bed. The sheets looked like they hadn’t been changed...
