Luciano crouched near the control panel, fingers already moving across the interface with sharp precision.
“I’ll first og all disable the surveillance grid and loop the feeds. We have a small window before the system flags the anomaly.”
His gaze lifted to mine.
“Amaya you know that.. Once we start, we don’t stop.”
Luciano’s voice was quiet, but it cut clean through the low mechanical hum around us.
The lab pulsed like a living thing, lights flickering faintly over rows of suspended bodies and metal grafted into flesh. Somewhere deeper in the tunnels, something heavy shifted, a slow, dragging sound that didn’t belong to anything natural.
