“If I wake up and someone says ‘emergency meeting,’ I’m going back to sleep.”

Javier’s voice was muffled against the mattress, lazy and dramatic.

Luciano didn’t even look up. “If you go back to sleep, Alvaro will drag you out by your leg.”

“I actually would,” Alvaro said calmly from behind me. “And I wouldn’t be gentle about it.”

I let out a soft laugh before I could stop myself.m and weirdly enough it felt strange.

Laughing..

It was easy and light.. Like nothing was pressing hard on my chest.

For a second, I just stayed there with my eyes closed as I continued listening to them....
