Star's POV

I wrapped my hands around myself in tiredness. The weather soaked into my body leaving me stuffed with excess cold. 

It was slowly getting harder for me to breathe. It probably was because a few minutes ago I was almost strangled to death. 

It was foolish of me to have bothered or even shown a bit of care the the Lycan alpha. He was ruthless and harsh and he didn't hesitate to prove to me how little I meant to him. If I meant anything at all. 

But we are mates... aren't we?

I was mentally troubled with my thoughts and for a while it kept me unaware...
