Ola woke up to a little hand gently stroking her cheek.
She smiled as his eyes fluttered open. A round face and sparkling eyes greeted her. “Hello Aunty,” the toddler grinned, showing gaps between his teeth.
Ola recalled the long tooth fairy rant the boy gave her a day prior.
““Hello Ezra,” she answered with a raspy voice. One look around informed him that Lydia already left the room.
Sun filtered through the curtain. She guessed that it was midmorning already.
She could hear voices in the house. Surely, guests came around. Ola marveled at how close knit Lydia’s family was.
She also envied it a bit.
