3 years later
Isabella stood proud in front of the crowd as he was convinced by her sister Andrea to model for her.
"You look beautiful, do you know that?" Andrea said as he gave her youngest sister a huge bouquet.
"You owe me, sis!" Isabella said.
"Did you love your comeback to society?" Andrea asked.
"Sis, we are in Paris, not the US!" Isabella rolled her eyes.
"Dad and Alaric are outside!" Andrea said as they took a last bow.
"It's interesting how you easily gave up being in charge of the company," Isabella walked and talked, waving at people.
"My gorgeous children!" Johnathan Foxworth exclaimed as he walked towards them both.
"Dad!" Isabella shrieked.
"Look at my youngest, so glamorous, so beautiful," her dad stated.
Alaric approached them and hugged the two.
"Are you ready to go to back to New York and help me out Vivi?" Alaric nudged at his sister.
"Yes, are you excited Bella?" Andrea grinned as they all got in the limousine.
"As model Ria yes," Isabella held out her hand to her brother.
She turned to Alaric and said, "as your director, I don't know."
"You can do it my child," Johnathan kissed her forehead.
Alaric took out his phone and showed Andrea first. He then exchanged glances and looked at their youngest sister.
"We want you to know something before you ride that plane back to New York tonight," Alaric said as he showed his phone.
"What is it?" Isabella asked as she took the phone.
"Zadyn Prescott had been pestering me for two years now, asking how I know you," Alaric said,
"He's emailed me a dozen times and even stopped by the office."
Isabella arched an eyebrow, it was a name that she hadn’t heard in three years. "Well, we have to plan," Alaric said.
"You know what, Big bro?" Isabella looked at him, "His ego was severely bruised. Don't worry, I can handle him."
"That's my daughter," Johnathan said.
"If you need me to step in, just tell me and I know what to do." Johnathan added, squeezing her hand. "Al, as your director, who do I need to report to?"
"Jackson Carter , he's my vice president," Alarc said.
"He is your vice-president now?" Isabella scratched her head. She didn’t know one of her college best friends hold a high position in the company,
"since when?"
"Just before mom died."
"Oh, I am sorry, I don't remember," Isabella said.
The limousine slowed down to their private jet hangar. "Ready to go home?" Her father asked him.
"Promise you'll not leave me to a golf tournament?" Isabella teased her father.
"Never." He responded.
"Hey Zayden, you never go out with us anymore," his friend Daniel Sinclair walked in his office without knocking followed by Ezra Kensington.
Zayden looked at them incredulously, "why would I?"
"Ever since Isabella left you and Alison went to Seoul, you are nowhere to be found!" Ezra stated.
"Do I really need to?" He looked at them and shook his head,
"I don't have anyone to answer to except my company."
"And your friends," Ezra added as he sat on the couch comfortably.
"Come on, Zade, be that cool university classmate and not just be a workhorse when you own your own company," Logan came up to him and massaged his shoulders.
"What do you want?" Zayden rolled his eyes.
"Ah, he catches the drift," Ezra grinned.
"Well, as you can see, CBS is going to cover a once in a lifetime event!" Logan stated.
"And of course since our dear friend is a shareholder there, he is invited!" Ezra added.
"It's the first time after a long time that a fashion model will walk the ramp, New York’s very own."
"And we want YOU to come with us!" Ezra stated,
"We have to support Logan in his endeavors right? That is what we promised each other when we were rooming in Uni!"
"What is this event and when?" Zayden asked, taking his phone to take a look at his calendar.
"It's New York Fashion Week! - look at the details of the event, I sent you." Logan stated
"And it's at the Plaza, it's an all week event but we are only attending Friday," Ezra emphasized.
"Yipee, hooray!" Zayden said dryly.
"You are no fun anymore, especially when Isabella divorced you," Logan noted, looking at his friend.
Zayden avoided his eyes, "It's not that, I am just tired, that's all."
"Lies! Absolute lies!" Ezra exclaimed, "don't tell me you have been tired for three years since she left you?"
Zayden stilled, has it been three years already? "I won't go with you if you don't drop the subject," Zayden warned as he stood up.
"Well, Logan and I have no clue why you are acting out over someone you did not care about?" Ezra answered back.
"Yeah, I don't get it Zade, weren't you just using her for her blood?" Logan added,
"There is something I have been meaning to ask you when you married him."
"Just spit it out," Zayden said as he prepared three glasses of brandy for them.
"Why did you have to marry her if she did not mean anything to you?" Logan wondered loudly.
Zayden didn't answer, instead, he handed them their brandies.
"I don't know, I saw her and there was a pull, maybe because she is a beautiful omega..." Zayden trailed as he sat back again.
"And you wanted her but you had Alison clinging on to you and you felt guilty because of Kyle’s death?" Ezra finished his sentence.
"You were attracted to her, Zade," Logan calmly expressed, "whether you liked it or not, you are just an alpha who is very attracted to an omega. Well to tell you honestly, you let a prized one slip through your fingers." He said as he took a sip of his drink.
Was that his truth? Was he actually hoping to have a future with Isabella? Is that why he tied the knot with her and used it as an excuse? He never expected Isabella to divorce him to be quite honest and up to this date, he had been contacting Alaric Foxworth to no avail.
Alaric Foxworth who is the president and CEO of Foxworth Conglomerates, one of the biggest corporations in the country. He even went to his office one time, as a friendly visit but unfortunately, he was out of the country.
Who he was to Isabella is still a mystery but Zayden is relentless because he wanted to know why he picked up his ex-wife that day she left.
The Foxworths are a private family, in spite of their popularity and wealth, no one really knows who they are except for the patriarch Johnathan Foxworth and son Alaric Foxworth. Society does not know their family unlike the Prescott who are all in lifestyle events and parties.
