Byron woke up to mist and a hidden city. His apartment towered over the other buildings. The view was vertiginous. He took a moment to appreciate it. He took a sip of his coffee; warm and bitter, just like he liked it. He had a long day planned ahead; classes, meetings, and other duties. It was his routine for some time now. He liked it. Since the unfortunate incident and the hospitalization, his parents were much kinder and understanding towards him. The prospect of losing a son would change anyone; he guessed as much.
