A week has passed since Byron’s visited the small apartment. 

Lydia tried to not think too much about the encounter, although at times when a knock echoed from the front door, she wondered if it was the alpha again.

“How did it go?” Lydia asked once Ola joined her in the living room.

 It was Thursday, and Thursday meant therapy. Ola looked drained but better.

 She removed her coat silently and put down her bag by the couch.

 Lydia watched quietly. 

She knew to give space and time to her friend on those days.

“It was good,” Ola said finally.
