(Elena's POV)

I was surrounded. I was supposed to be weakened by the greater threat facing me now. Yet, I tried to fight back.

I howled so loud. It was a call for war. But no one was on my side. I was a lone soldier unlikely, to make it out of my current situation. I will have to strike first. If I must strike first then, I must do it hard as well.

By the time I was done howling, I look in the direction where Faran was standing. He was nowhere to be found. He has vanished. Perhaps, it was when I was howling that he disappeared.
