EVELYN’S POV:

Leonard adjusted toward me and pulled me into a cuddle. It didn’t take long before I drifted off to sleep.

When I woke up, it was almost night. I quickly got up, rushed into the bathroom, and finished bathing in record time. After dressing up, I headed straight outside. My mind was on the kids. Were they still sleeping or awake? Were they okay?

“Argh!” I shouted as I bumped into someone. I was about to fall, but his strong hands caught me before I hit the floor.
