Have you ever experienced a moment when everything around you moves in slow-motion and you felt like you were floating in the air with butterflies all over your stomach? Well, that was what I was feeling at that time when our eyes met. It felt like there was something that was happening that I couldn't quite comprehend. Is this what they call love at first sight? If this is it, then I would be damned; this man right here is extraordinary.
"Guys, this is my friend, Javi," Ruke said as he motioned to the man who was now beside him. "Javi, these are Amira and Jaz, I just met them tonight."
"Nice to meet you," The man, Javi, said.
"Hi," Jaz said. "It's so good to meet you too,"
Javi nodded and turned to me. He's too good to be true. How can a man be as handsome as he is? He looked like he just got out of a kid's fairytale book with his perfectly shaped brows, pointed nose, and curvy lips, and that killer jawline. Oh my God! I felt like I just got a huge crush on the man in front of me.
"Hey? Are you alright? Did the cat have your tongue?" He said and smirked. "Are you speechless because of me? Well, close your mouth babe, the flies might get in."
What?! Did he just say that? Oh my freaking God! Now, I take back what I said. I do not and will not have a crush on someone who is as boastful as this one!
"You know what?" I said and equaled his smirk. "I was speechless because I thought that ugly attitudes are prohibited from entering this club; it turns out I was wrong because you definitely got in."
I heard Ruke and Jaz laughed at the corner. Take that! That's what you get for messing with me, dude!
"What the hell?!" He managed to say as we walked away from them.
"And by the way," I said and turned to him. I looked at him straight into the eye without blinking. "You aren't that handsome, to begin with,"
Jaz laughed and pulled me out of there.
"Burn, man!" I heard Ruke said and laughed. "You totally got her bro,"
"Shut up," I heard Javi said.
I shook my head and never looked back at him. He just got what he deserved. Just when I thought that he was going to be a gentleman and a nice man just like how he looked but he turned out to be a beast.
"He's a cutie though," Jaz said when we got back to our seats. Ruke and Javi were still at the bar and it looked like Ruke was still making fun of him. I smiled to myself; serves you right.
"He is," I said. "But he has a sour attitude and that makes him a trash."
"But he's cute," Jaz said and laughed.
"Still a trash," I said.
"Cheers to that," Jaz said as she picked another shot from our table.
I laughed and shook my head. "Easy there, we're not here to get drunk; we still have to drive home."
"I know," She said. "And I am not drunk yet; I can still drive you to know but if I can't we can just call my driver and he'll take care of us. Don't worry; this night is for you to enjoy and forget about anything."
I nodded. "Yeah, right," I said and took a glass of whatever I saw first on the table and drank it all up to the last drop.
"That's what I'm saying," She said and gave me a high five.
I looked at the bar and saw that Javi was looking my way. We had a stare war for a bit in which I looked away first and shook my head. What now? Can't he get over what happened? I laughed internally. That is just what you deserve.
"Come on; let's dance," Jaz said. "Let's shake all these alcohol off,"
"Alright!" I said as I stood up and laughed.
We headed to the dance floor and danced our way to the middle of the dancing people around. It was full of people that all I could see around me were people who were either kissing or jumping to the beat of the music. We didn't let the crowd intimidate us so we danced with them and jumped to our heart's content. God, I have never had so much fun such as this in a long period of time. Jaz and I danced with each other and we didn't let any guy who wanted to dance with us get in the way. It's a girl's night out, dude!
We were already at the corner part when Ruke came over and danced with us.
"Can I borrow her for a while?" He yelled which was enough for me to hear.
"Sure!" I said and gave him a thumb up.
"Will you be fine here?" Jaz said and I nodded.
"Just go," I said and pushed him towards Ruke.
"I'll look for you later," She said and gave me a flying kiss.
I laughed as I acted like I caught his kiss and put it on my lips. Jaz laughed and waved at me ass Ruke pulled her out of the dance floor. I stayed there and continued dancing with all the drunken people around but then just a few minutes later, I felt someone dancing behind me. I moved a little farther but he followed me. Jeez, some men just can't take clues. I moved again yet he still followed me. Alright, this has to stop. I turned around and saw Javi. What the hell?! I tried to walk away from him but he held my arm. I rolled my eyes at him and pulled my hand but he didn't let go.
"What do you want?" I said. "Let go of me, will you?"
"Look, I'm sorry, okay? I didn't mean what I said." He said. The music was loud so we had to louder our voices. "It was my fault and I am deeply sorry if I offended you; can we talk outside? It's too noisy here."
"What's there to talk about?" I said and pulled my hand.
"Please?" He said without letting go of me. "I just want us to start clean again, you know."
I sighed. It looks like he isn't taking no for an answer.
"Alright," I said.
"Thank you," He smiled and motioned for the door leading outside the club. "After you," He said.
I shook my head and walked to the door. This better be good or else he's going to get another blow from me.
