RICARDO'S POV

I arrived home exhausted I have been going to work.as early as possible and still return late but today I chose to return early even when I knew I wasn't done yet with the ton of work I left at the office.

There was a knock at the door, it could be the kids, perhaps they were back from their evening walk.

"Come in" I said.

"Excuse me sir," Nancy the kids nanny said as she came in. And here I was thinking it was the kids.

"I'm sorry to bother you sir, but there is a woman out here who insists to come in" she said and sprang upright to a sitting position.

Does she mean that Sophia is in the house right now? It's so surprising to me that Sophia is in the house and I laughed.

Nancy was looking at him as if he had gone crazy I looked at her and couldn't help but laugh again, Damn! Sophia is such a comedian.

It has been a week since Sophia and her lawyer had came to my office, when she had said I would come meet her in the house, I had quickly closed from work that day only to find out Sophia didn't step a foot to the house and I had concluded that she has gone back to her new life, that she had returned back to where ever the hell she was coming from.

"Let's her in Nancy, she's my wife and thank you" I said and she gave a little nod then left.

When Nancy had left, I decided to take a quick shower before I would see Sophia.

I came out of the bathroom, wipe the water from my body and took out a joggers and a tee shirt and I put it on then stepped out of the room.

Just as I descended down the stairs, I caught the sight of three suitcases by the door. They must belong to Sophia and from the look of it she has come to stay for a very long time.

I got to the living room but she wasn't there, I heard some sound coming out from the kitchen and walked towards there where I saw Sophia rampaging the refrigerator. I guess she might have sense me as she shut the refrigerator and turned to look at me.

The unfriendly look on her face is not one I could easily miss, she glared at me like I was the last person she wished to see which of course could be true but thst wasn't what had grabbed my attention in the first place.

Sophia had a black mini dress on, which of course wss strapless and displayed her arms, the legs weren't helping either, her straight long legs were on display and when she had bent down and the way her ass had so positioned, it almost got ideas into my head, not to talk of if I tilted a little I could see underneath her dress but I was not going to do that. If Sophia would be on my bed, she would be on my bed willingly.

"Sophia" I drawled as I walked up to her.

"Honestly this is a surprise, I assumed you wouldn't come again, who knows you might have given up so easily" I said.

"Don't be silly, Lucas " She laughed

"You know me well and you know i never give up when i make up my mind. Besides this is supposed to be my matrimonial home and you are supposed to be my husband, right Lucas?" She smiled at me, I could see the glint in her eyes as she stared at me.

"I guess you would be staying here for a very long time don't you?" I asked, smirking, if she think she would get to me with her words then she is mistaken.

"That's for me to know and for you to find out" she said slyly and I smiled.

"There shouldn't be bad blood between us, especially in front of the kids, we shouldn't raise our voice or show them that we aren't in good terms" I said and she laughed, throwing her head backwards as her melodious voice met my ears.

Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with me? Melodious really?

"Really? You think you are now a better parent than I am don't you? Don't worry, I know how to raise a child also and I also know that children are not to ve raised I'm a home where the parents do not love each other" she said, fury in her eyes and I sighed. The exhaustion that had washed over me did not give me the ounce of strength to argue further.

I offered my hand in a friendly handshake and she stared at me suspiciously, after some seconds she decided to acknowledge it.

I held firmly to her hand and pulled her closer to me. Her eyes widened in surprise. I puts her hair behind her ear and smiled at her.

"You look sexy, Sophie" I teased, I didn't know when Sophie had slipped, that wss what I had called her when we first met and now I just called her that.

She lets out an annoyed scoff and pushed him away from her which made me laugh.

"Are you crazy? What the hell is wtong with you? Look I am only here because of my kids, so i suggest we steer ckear out of each others way" she yelled at me.

She glared at me, straightened her dress then walked out of the kitchen her heels clicking after her.

I followed behind her and she increased her pace running uo the stairs. I took the stairs two at a time and I caught up to her.

"We would be sharing the sane room again like old time, isn't it nice?" I asked, teasingly.

"We are not sharing the same room, you and I are never going to have anything together aside from the kids" she whirled around immediately almost bumping into me as she glared at me.

She takes the one farthest room in the hall and pushed the door open.

She walks in and observing the room why I trailed behind her like her bodyguard.

"Do you need anything to be added to the room?" I asked as her saw her moving her eyes around the room, not as if I chose it for her but hey, I was just trying to be polite.

"No." she replied coldly.

"I know my way around. I can get whatever I need by myself. Whatever I need I can as well provide it so you don't need to worry" she added and I chuckled.

"I can see, I am sure your new lover packed a lot of it to you didn't he?" I mocked her.

"That is none of your business! Don't you have a company to run? Go focus on your company before it runs down out of your incompetence to manage anything" she spitted.

"You make me laugh Sophia. I have managed the company for years and the revenues are steadily increasing, in a fast pace might I add" I said

She ignored me and walked back to the door but I stopped her. She kept on giving me a boredom look.and I sighed.

"Fine, I am going to leave"I have had enough for today anyways, i need to get some rest.

"I need to get some rest anyway" I said to her.

"Yeah leave, I have to prepare dinner by the way" she replied.
