I began to panic. I started to hyperventilate. I had no idea what to do. I had two fears. Was dad okay? Was I going to fail?

I was stuck and my mind was moving in circles . I felt like a fish out of water. All I wanted to do was cry.

The starting time had already been pushed back thirty minutes, so I wasn't surprised when the principal walked up to me.

"I'm so sorry Cheryl but we can't wait anymore. We're going to have to start without you." the principal said and left me standing outside.
