The doctor released Cody from the hospital, and his injuries limited him on what he could do. Since it was Valentine’s Day, I spent the evening with him.

“Okay. I brought movies, snacks, and beverages,” I said, showing Cody the items. “Since you’re incapacitated, I figure we can chill.”

“Do you mean Netflix and chill?” 

My expression changed as I stood there, speechless. 

Cody chuckled. “Relax. I couldn’t do anything because of my injuries. Plus, you’re not ready.” 

“I could be ready.”
