Brandon took me home after the dance and walked me to my door. He gave me a sweet kiss before leaving. Tonight was the best night of my life.

I walked inside, finding my parents waiting up for me.

“How was the dance?” Dad asked.

“It turned out better than I expected. Is Coop home yet?” I asked.

“Yeah, he came home before you did,” Mom said.

I couldn’t stop smiling as I started up the stairs to my room.
