We returned from Spring Break, and Ty wasn’t speaking to me. I tried, but he would talk to someone else. When we got back to school, it became worse.
Finally, I cornered him when no one was around. “Ty?”
“Oh, hey, Gavin. Did you need something?”
“We need to talk about what happened.”
“There’s no need. It was a mistake. I’m confused. But I’m not confused anymore.”
“Liar.”
He didn’t say anything.
“I know you felt something because I did, too.” I stepped towards him until his back hit the wall.
He looked at me with furrowed brows.
“What are you afraid of?”
