Chapter Forty-Six – She knows.

Henry’s POV

“You’re my mate, Jade.” I interrupted her.

As expected, no act of surprise from her. Her cheeks only reddened. Did that mean she’d accept me?

She rose her head. “I am?”

Did she not hear me or was she trying to be sure? “Yeah, you are. I didn’t tell you cause I needed you to be safe.”

“Safe?” a line of worry was on her face. “Will someone kill me because I am your mate?”

Seeing her worry that she was in danger for being my mate made my heart sink. She shouldn’t feel scared, but feel safe.
