I walked back in class to take out my bag and finalize the class activity our lecturer gave.

It saddened me when my lecturer called me back from my date but it’s one of the cons of being a student – academics first.

Elma was sitting besides my bag when I walked in and I didn’t remember her sitting besides me.

A girl who sat there, my new friend, Kelly, wasn’t there anymore.

Since my mom said it was Elma’s mother who hated me, I didn’t hate Elma right away and tried to give her a benefit of doubt.
