The heat still resonated around my body but with less pain. I rolled to the other side of the bed and stretched my legs. It was time to think.

“Jesse, next time give me heads up when we are in heat, okay! Yesterday was embarrassing!” I scolded my wolf.

He had been quiet since the heat incident or maybe too dumbstruck that Devon let his father die than be vulnerable.
