Serena was curled up on the couch when the knock came. She almost ignored it.

Another knock came again, louder this time.

She groaned, dragging herself up. When she opened the door, Dominic stood there, one hand in his pocket, the other holding a takeaway coffee cup.

“Wow,” he said, eyes scanning her. “You look like you’ve been kidnapped by your couch.”

“Funny,” Serena muttered, stepping aside. “What do you want?”

“To save you,” he said easily, walking in. “The guys are hanging out. I figured you could use air, people, and life.”
