MILES POV

I was home preparing myself for the full moon. I can't believe it's another full moon again. Living such a solitude and secretive life really makes me feel like going back to my world, to the world where I belong. I can't even invite a girl for a sleepover because of my secret life style.

"Miles stop thinking about anything... You're definitely regretting being here" Mason snapped as he came into my room.

"You're such a devil. Why do you always have to read my thoughts. You know this isn't right, you're not allowed to read your young lord's thought" I said jovially and he scoffed.

"Are you looking down on me? Hey Mason am still your supreme lord" I yelled and we boost into laughter.

"Someone's at your door" Mason reminded.

"Come in, Zuri" I permitted.

"Boss you have a guest. She said her name is Zoe. Should I let her in" Zuri asked.

"What's Zoe doing here" Mason asked confused.

"I'm sure she came here for work. Let her in" I said and Zuri went out closing the door behind her.

"You stay here, I will go listen to what she has to say. I don't know if she's here to hurt you" Mason added.

"Come on Mason, Zoe doesn't look like someone who would hurt a fly"

"Hmm, I will go attend to her" Mason uttered and went out.

Always cautious but not everybody is a devil... Wait a minute, some devils would appear with an angel's clothing. I thought and it made a lot of sense.

ZOE POV

I got to Miles mansion with an excuse to get his signature on some documents.

Wow he's indeed very rich. Living in such a huge mansion alone with so many maids around but something feels odd about this place. I thought looking around.

"Excuse me miss, boss will be with you in a minute. Please come in" The maid instructed as she lead the way into the mighty sitting room.

I thought I've seen it all. I muttered in my head in surprise.

"What would you like to have" She asked politely giving me a menu.

What the hell... I feel like am in a very fancy and classy resort. What would one need a menu for at home. I muttered in my head flabbergasted by what am seeing.

"No thanks.. I'm good" I uttered politely staring at her.

She doesn't even look like a maid. She looks like a hostess.

"Look who we have here" Mason announced as he came downstairs staring at me.

"Where's Miles" I asked curiously.

"Miss Zoe where are your manners? Miles might be your course mate but if you're here to discuss business,you have to address him as boss or big boss" Mason corrected rudely.

Who said Miles was arrogant.. Compared to Mason he's an angel. I thought and rolled my eyes.

"I'm sorry. Where's the boss? I need his signature on this documents urgently" I added.

"Give it here. I would sign on it myself" He instructed.

Oh no,I have to see Miles today. That's the only way I can place the spell on him. I thought confused on what to do next.

"Sorry but only the boss's signature is needed on this. Where's the boss? I would go get his signature if you don't mind" I said swiftly.

I think this will work.

"Don't bother. I will go give it to him myself" Mason said and snatched the files from my hand and upstairs.

"Mason screw you" I murmured.

"Did you just curse me" Mason asked as he turned around.

"No I didn't" I uttered frustratedly and he scoffed.

I guess my plan didn't work. How about I look around maybe I would cross path with Miles.

"Excuse me, please can I look around" I asked one of the maids who walked pass me.

"Alright but don't get to the attic. It's restricted for visitors" He warned.

"OK thank you" I said smiling.

What attic? Why is it restricted from visitors? Is there something there that would help me finish Miles off. I thought and head for attic but I pretended to look around the stairs and home design.

I think that's the attic. I muttered in my mind and head for the door,I was about opening the door when someone tapped me from behind,I almost lost my breath.

" What are you doing here" Mason asked glaring at me.

"Just looking around" I lied with a nervous smile.

"Don't you think smiling at me this moment looks suspicious. I'm pretty sure the maids told you not to get anywhere close to this place so what are you doing here? Do you have any ill intentions towards Miles" Mason fired not giving me an opportunity to create a lie.

What is he exactly? He's always cautious and sneaky. What are they hiding. I thought confused.

"What's going on here" Miles asked as he joined us.

Oh my goodness Miles is finally here. What to do... what to do... I thought confused and suddenly thought of a plan.

MILES POV

Why's Zoe acting all suspicious,does she have anything under her sleeve. I thought confused staring at her and suddenly she collapsed luckily I caught her before she would fall to the floor.

"Mason what's going on here? Was she sick when you saw her downstairs" I asked confused.

"I don't think so... How about we take her to the hospital" Mason suggested.

"Alright" I agreed.

"Miles am allergic to hospitals. I just need a bed rest" Zoe uttered faintly.

"Miles she's talking, let's just send her back to the hostel" Mason suggested.

"I don't think she would be able to get a proper bed rest at the hostel" I added.

"Why are you worried about her? It's so unlike you" Mason uttered confused.

"She might be arrogant and stubborn but she needs my help now" I said and carried her in a bridal style,I took her to one of the guest rooms.

"Miles,do you think you're doing the right thing" Mason added and I rolled my eyes, ignoring his question.

"Gracy am leaving Zoe in your care. You have to make sure she gets better" I instructed one of my nurses.

"I don't know if am doing the right thing but I feel like caring for her so I wish you would respect my decision" I said and left the room, Mason followed.
