Itana-

A loud bang came from the front door, as if someone was trying to break the door down, the banging continued as the girls and I stood there frozen, afraid that if we moved, we’d be seen but that until the door smacked opened…

As it revealed….

Aiko and the rest of the guys. Swallowing down our fear, the girls looked at each other like we had just seen a ghost before we burst out laughing at how stupid we had been for a moment, though still, we knew something weird was happening here, it just felt more normal to laugh about our misery.

“You girls look like you’ve just met the Devil, what’s going on? Did we interrupt something?”

Jesse said as he walked passed Aiko and came into the lodge, wiping the snow off his clothes he stood there looking at us girls dumbfounded.

“Nothing it’s just that you guys look hideous.”

Claudia retorted and we began laughing again as the guys rolled their eyes before settling down in the living room as Aiko looked over to us saying;

“We couldn’t find any help. All and any contact with the outside world has been disconnected, the roads are too snowy to make it out, we are completely trapped here.”

And as the words left his mouth, my anxiety set in, I always hated the thought of being trapped, I hated it so much, I couldn’t be trapped, not here.

“And that’s not the worst part.”

Andre added in as he looked from the guys back to us girls while waited for us to fill us in what kind of madness was going on outside of her.

“There were a bunch of dead animals surrounding the lodge, deers, crows… they are everywhere so I wouldn’t suggest going outside but it seems like someone is messing with us because whoever put the dead animals there is also the same person who cut off the wires from the radio station that we went to.”

And the more they spoke and informed us, the more I wanted to throw up everywhere, someone was messing with us, someone was here, I had saw the shadow, whoever it was, the person was watching our every move, always staying a step ahead.

“Who did you guys piss off this time for them to be trying to scare us like this?”

Claudia said, rolling her eyes, I wasn’t so sure that she was taking this as serious as it was, I don’t think she even believed that we really were trapped here.

“You think this is our fault?”

Jesse asked, clearly annoyed by Claudia’s nonchalant behaviour and accusation but before Claudia could respond, the alarm of the lodge was set off, the blaring ringing of the alarm grazing my ears as I tried to protect them from the sound as we all looked towards each other like ‘what the hell’.

If the alarm had been set off that meant that someone was trying to get inside and that someone was clearly not any of us.

“Ha. Ha. Very funny guys. Nice prank.”

Claudia rolled her eyes once more for the hundredth time today as she walked over to the security and turned the deafening screaming of the alarm off.

“That wasn’t us. We’re not joking with you guys, what are you not understanding?”

Jesse said with an angry tone and I could feel his frustration because I knew damn well that none of this was the work of any of us, this was an outsider… someone that, wanted to be on the … inside.

“So explain why anyone would follow us all the way out here and go through all the effort to mess with us?”

Claudia retorted, folding her arms across her chest defensively.

“I don’t know Claudia, why are you such a pain in the ass? Explain that to me?”

Ok that was enough, if someone didn’t intervene, Claudia and Jesse would be ex’s by tomorrow and not a couple so I was grateful when Aiko interrupted their heated conversation.

“Everyone shut the fuck up and listen.”

And so we all went quiet, listening for whatever he was telling us to listen to and from a distance, there was a faint sound of what seemed to be the moaning of someone so we all ran outside, looking for the source of the sound, we followed the sound to the garage, where the door was completely open and there was a footage of Claudia and Andre having sex playing on a projector that was facing the wall and as we all stood there completely shocked, Andre went and broke the projector as Claudia ran out of the garage with Jesse running behind her and when I looked at Sara, she was stood there in shock, tears already staining her cheeks and I felt so helpless.

Claudia and Jesse were together, Sara and Andre were also together which meant that they were cheating and as we thought things couldn’t get any worse, all of our phones received a text at the same time that read;

“This is just the beginning.”
