At that moment, his phone rang, interrupting my train of thought. Blake hesitated, contemplating whether to take the call.

"Please feel free to answer it. The caller may have information that you find intriguing," I advised, settling back into my seat as the situation grew increasingly captivating.

Jacob looked up at me, ending the call abruptly.

I replied with a chuckle, "You have just missed receiving some very good news." I added, licking my lips in anticipation.

"What could be more important than our current discussion?" he inquired, visibly upset.

I laughed heartily, "I apologize for my thoughtlessness." I said amidst my amusement.
