“I have to save her!” I screamed as I renewed my efforts to get to the car. “I have to save my wife!”

I threw off my Beta running towards the car. Despite the yelling and screaming coming from the passerby, I paid them deaf ears. I couldn't let her die,she can’t die because it will be on my conscience. She betrayed me and maybe I do hate her, but that doesn't mean she gets to leave me in this world. Tears were already streaming down my face. Few meters away from the car, that’s when I heard a yell.
