"I would like to clarify my position," I remarked, advancing to the center of the hall. "I am present as a collaborator—not as an object of ownership. I intend to share my skills, intellect, and resources with those who recognize that true strength lies in partnerships rather than in possession."

I observed the expressions of the Alphas; some appeared unsettled by my statement, while others seemed somewhat satisfied. Out of the corner of my eye, I noted George, who continued to focus his gaze on me.

"That is an improvement, at least," Zane, the Alpha beside me, commented after Brittany departed in haste.
