I would not let myself be too excited about that!

I was going on a date with my mate, sure! But if he did a last-minute cancellation, I would not show him it hurt me. I was prepared to get disappointed. Even preparing for the fact that it might even be his punishment for me. Get me worked up just to rub it in my face later.
