All three looked up to see Lilith standing at the doorway, much as Ansel had been, though looking anything but put out. In fact, she looked decidedly pleased to see Annabelle and couldn't be bothered to take her eyes from her as she walked more fully into the room. She walked right past her other two favorites and wrapped Annabelle in a motherly hug.

This is getting to be a really bad habit with these people, Annabelle thought wryly, never the one for much human contact.
