Chapter 3

Chapter 3

TITLE: Beginning Of My Journey

Author POV

"Finally, the witch is going to be off my neck." Came the familiar voice, which she'll never forget.

The two friends, looked to the direction of the voice, and was welcomed with a light skinned girl, dressed in a short blue gown, which stopped some inches before her knee lines, and a pair of blue stiletto were fitted on her feet, her expensive wig, cascading down her shoulders, with some strands, covering her forehead, her face was adorned with an heavy make-up.

Aliyah faced her front, and concentrated on her drink, not giving a damn about the bitch, trying to get on her nerves. As much as she want to put her in her place, she couldn't bring herself to embarrassing her personality in the presence of everyone, right? Fighting with a nuisance like her, will only make her look the same in the eyes of the people, so she thought it wise to just ignored her, and act like she wasn't even there.

"You see, I'll appreciate it, if you just respect yourself and make a U-turn Jenny." Zohara said to the girl, with a smirk, plastered on her face. She was just trying to control her anger, not to cause a commotion, but if it's what she really want, then she would have no option, than to give it to her.

"The last time I checked, I wasn't talking to you Zohara, I see no business of yours here, so can you mind your business!" She snapped at Zohara, who scoffed unbelievably, before standing up on her feet. Jenny had always been in competition with the poor Aliyah, because every guy she ever liked, all seem to like Aliyah instead of her, and for that reason, she had always hated her.

"And you dare not to talk to me Jenny, you know it. And did you asked what business of mine in this? Well, sorry to disappoint you, her business is mine, so if you try something stupid here, I wouldn't mind we're in a place like this, I promise, I won't spare you." Zohara threatened, glaring at her.

Aliyah, who have been busy, sipping from her drink and feeding her eyes, finally dropped the wine glass, then stood up and faced the girl, who have been ranting like a mad dog.

"Jenny, sorry to disappoint you, but I'm in no mood for this nonsense talk, you can argue with your miserable life." Aliyah spat, then grabbed her friend's hand, before dragging her to God knows where.

"That Jenny girl is such a joy killer." Zohara scoffed, as they walked through passed the crowd.

"I need to use the restroom." Aliyah said, and without waiting to hear anymore word from her friend, she hurried away. Walking through the hallway, she was able to locate the female restroom, and without wasting time, she barged inside, and locked the door behind her. Minutes passed, before she came out, and made to go, but stopped in her track, as she was welcomed with the least expected person.

Her throat dried, and her heart came pounding heavily against her ribcage, like it'll pop out of her chest anytime soon, she started hyperventilating, as she stared at the person, standing in front of her.

"A...Ali.." Her nervous and calmed voice came on, and she gulped down. She stared at the handsome guy, standing before her, this is the same guy, whom she's been having a big crush on, the only guy she ever felt her heart beat for, but too bad, that he never noticed her.

"Congratulations Aliyah." He smiled warmly at her, and she found herself, drooling over him. That smile, that always melted her heart, that smile of his, that always rip her off her guard. Ali have been the only guy that captured her heart, ever since she's been admitted into the school, but she tried as much as to kill the feelings, relationship, was the last thing on her mind, and the guy in question, never seemed to notice her.

"Tha...thank you." She managed to answer him, as she fought the urge to hold her chest. Her heart was beating so violently, that she thought it was going to force its way out of her chest.

"So, how about we hang out tomorrow? Heard you're leaving for Korea by next tomorrow." His dry voice came on, as a smile plastered on his face.

Aliyah seemed to give it a thought for a while. She would've loved to hang out with him, but something kept telling her to decline the offer.

"Sorry Ali, but I don't think I'll be chanced." She said hurriedly, like she didn't want to listen to herself, and without waiting to hear what he had to say again, she counted her steps away, not sparing him a glance.

Hours later, the party was finally over, and everyone went home.

The next day was just like every other days, nothing special, as she just hung out with her friend, till it was evening, before she returned home...

Aliyah POV

My alarm came blaring loudly, and I groaned angrily, before forcing my eyes opened.

Stretching my hands over my head, I sat up on the bed, and yawned tiredly, before getting on my feet, after which I dragged my feet out of the room.

Stepping into the bathroom, I had a quick bath, and went to my room to get dressed. I spent almost an hour, getting dressed and when I was done, it was already 6am.

Looking around my room one more time, a drop of tears escaped my eyes. I'm going out there to start a new life, as much as I was sad, I couldn't stay back, right?

Stepping out of my room, I met mom, who was already waiting for me outside. She hugged me and burst into tears.

"Shhhhhh! Don't cry please." She cried, as she cupped my cheeks, and cleaned off my tears with her thumbs.

I sniffed in tears, as I nodded.

She prayed for me, before I finally embarked on the journey, that'll change my life forever, a journey that'll make me that star, which I've always wanted to be.

I took a cab to the airport, where I met Zohara and our coach, waiting for me.

We hugged each other for the last time, before I finally got inside the airplane, and in a few minutes, the flight took off.

Taking a flight for the first time in everyone's life is supposed to be fun and full of excitement, right? But mine was full of sadness. I was sad, because I was separated from mom, and my only friend. It'll be years, before I'll ever get to see them again. I'll come back for mom as soon as I make enough money, that's a promise.

We got to Seoul the next day, and as everyone made their ways out of the airplane, I did same.

"Korea, here I come..."
