Dad is a joy killer
Baek-hyun POV
I scoffed unbelievably, as I bit my lip, trying to contain the anger, that surged through me. Is he being serious right now? How can he even think of asking me such stupid question? What guts does he have, to tell me that nonsense? Wait a minute, is he actually thinking that I'll gladly smile and say ok, it's not a problem? Hell no! Not me.
"What did you say coach?" I asked, trying to make sure I didn't hear wrong, and the foolish man dared to repeat those annoying words.
"The thing is, there's a new student, that was recruited into our team, and...."
"Just shut up coach! I didn't tell you that I was deaf when you spilled those nonsense from your mouth. I was just trying to make sure I heard you right, and you dare to still repeat it, huh?" I yelled angrily, slamming my hands on his desk, as he flinched, with fear on his face.
He gulped down nervously, as he stared at me in terror.
This is who I am, I can be a jerk when I'm angry. I have anger issues, and whenever it takes over me, I lose control, and say shits.
"Did you actually think of it before you spilled those rubbish? How could you even think of that, huh? Of all the rooms in the whole school, why the heck do you choose my place, huh? If you don't wanna lose your job, do the needful. I don't care how you're gonna do it, but just do something, I can't share my place with someone." I snapped angrily, as I leaned in on him, giving him the most dangerous glare.
"Bu...but...your dad suggested that." He stuttered.
I snapped my head to look at him, my eyes darkened, as I tried processing what he just said. Did he just called my dad? Like my own dad, chairman Park, knows about this? It's not possible, he must be playing some prank on me. Oh God please save me, I don't wanna kill someone here.
"What are you saying?" I thundered.
"Your dad was the one that suggested it. You can call him for confirmation." He replied, quivering on his seat.
Ok, this is crazy. I bit my lip, and closed my eyes briefly, trying to get a hold of myself from doing something stupid. Letting out a small sigh, I stood up, and stormed out of his office, as I made my way straight to the parking lot.
I hopped in on my car, and drove roughly out of the compound, making my way straight to my dad's office.
How could he do this to me? He knows how much I hate strangers, he knows how much I hate associating with people, and he still did this? Does he even think of how I'll feel at all? I don't even know the idiot that's gonna be staying with me.
After driving for what seemed like forever, I finally drove into the company, and parked my car at the parking lot, after which I alighted and hastened my pace to the entrance door. I barged in, and made my way straight to dad's office, ignoring all the staffs, that kept greeting me nonstop. They should keep their greetings for who needs it, I'm not in the mood for that shit.
Barging into his secretary's office, she stood up as soon as she saw me.
"Good morning sir, chairman Park is busy with a client." She said, as she came to stand in my way.
"Don't make me lose it, you wouldn't like what will happen." I glared daggers at her.
She quickly ran out of the way, while I opened the door and stormed in, to meet dad and a man on suit, talking.
"Baek-hyun!" Dad called sternly, glaring at me.
I rolled my eyes, fuming in anger.
The man sitting opposite him, tilted his head to look at me, a smile crept its way to his lips, as he looked at me, before returning his gaze to dad.
"Wow, your son have really grown big. Look at him." The man said to dad.
"Dad can I have a word with you?" I asked rudely, clenching my fist.
"Where are your manners Baek-hyun? Didn't you see that I have a guest?" Dad's cold voice, scolded me. How the hell is it my business, if he has a guest?
"It's ok chairman Park, I was about being on my way, I'll excuse you two now, we'll talk some other time." The man said, as he stood up.
"Ok president Yi." Dad also stood up, and shook hands with the man.
They should just get done with their greetings already, I need to let this out.
The man walked over to me, and pat my shoulder, before walking out of the office, closing the door behind him.
"Dad what is the meaning of what coach told me?" I asked angrily, as soon as the man was out of sight. I clenched my fist angrily, trying to control the anger, that kept trying to consume me.
"I'm very sure he spoke the language you understand very well, so what exactly do you not understand?" His sarcastic voice came on, with his face, fixated on the screen of the computer on his desk, his hands moving on the keyboard.
"How could you ask to bring a stranger to live with me dad? How could you do that, knowing how much I hate that, huh? Do you ever think about how I'll feel, huh? Do you ever think about me?" I yelled angrily.
"What exactly is the problem Baek-hyun? Is it the fact that someone is coming to stay with you? Not that she's going to stay there forever, your school dorms have a little problem, and she's only going to squat with you for a short while, until it is resolved, why don't you just endure this?" He spoke calmly, as he finally raised his head to look at me.
"Do you even get this at all? I said I don't want to stay with anybody, I'm ok with Jimin and Bob, is that too hard to ask? Why did you even suggest my place, huh?" I thundered.
"Well, sorry to disappoint you son, she's staying in your house, and that's final. You should learn to mingle with people, learn to accept people, no matter who they are, ok?" He spoke, with finality in his voice.
"Trust me, you'll like her. I heard Nigerians are really fun to be with." He added with a smile.
My eyes widened, as I looked at him, trying to process what he just said, like, she's a Nigerian? I'm going to be staying under same roof with a Nigerian? That's never gonna happen, not now, and not forever...
