Chapter 4

Chapter 4

Caroline's POV.

The black stretch Lincoln was parked at the door, and by the time I reached the welcome site, I was just in time to see a man with short curly silver hair, gold-rimmed glasses, slender limbs, and an imposing presence walk in, followed by a dozen escort soldiers in black suits, each armed with a rifle and a look of inviolability. I swore that this was definitely the grandest and most dazzling entrance I had ever seen, and I couldn't help but imagine how extravagant the life of the aristocracy should be, and how intoxicating it was.

When this man walked past me, he looked back at me. This glance made me think of the man who looked at me the same way two nights ago, could it have been him?

Aisha diligently led him to introduce the banquet hall and our pack to him, just as close to sticking to him.

But this distinguished man hadn't said a word since he entered, so I couldn't help but wonder if he was a mute. However, just as this thought popped up, he spoke out and interrupted my thoughts.

"Excuse me, could you be a little quieter?"

I saw Aisha's face instantly harden, but didn't leave at that either.

So, no one else made a sound until they walked into the restaurant.

Alpha Williams had already stood at the entrance of the restaurant, and could only say that he did not do anything extra than being polite about the man's arrival.

The man who was not seated and spoke with Alpha Williams, walked straight to me, took my hand and left without looking back.

I did not dare to resist, but looked back at Aisha and Alpha Williams, who nodded without expression, and Aisha stared at me with anger. I was even more confused.

The temperature of his wrist was cold.

He stopped abruptly, and without warning I hit his firm back and heard a muffled grunt. Not bothering with the little pain, I opened my mouth to apologize.

"Take me to your room." He said with an expressionless face.

I admitted that for a moment I thought my hearing was broken. I was just about to make a sound and ask again when I saw Rob in the hallway again. I immediately ducked behind him and heard the room close before I carefully poked my head out.

"You're scared of him?"

"He's a total freak alright!" When I finished I realized what I had done in front of this man, oh my god, could the fairy godmother turn me into a crack in the ground so I could get in? I covered my mouth and looked at him with an embarrassed smile.

His blue eyes were beautiful, like a deep blue lake in the sunlight during the day, and like a blue jewel set in the eye socket. I realized it was rude to stare at the guest's face and hurriedly turned my head sideways.

"Freak? That sounds like fun."

"Sir. There's something I'm not quite sure what you mean by that comment just now." I tried my best to pull away from the subject.

"Is this the Williams Pack's way of treating guests who have come a long way to stand here?"

His tone instantly became harsh, and I was a little overwhelmed by the inexplicable change.

"Miss Aisha has prepared the guest room for you, I will let her show you there." I took out my phone to call Aisha, although I didn't know why he was glaring at me in anger just now.

The next second, my phone was snatched away from me by the man in front of me, he suddenly approached me, I fearfully retreated to lean against the wall, he propped his hand on the wall and lifted my chin with his other hand, "I don't want to say it again, you take me there."

Such an ambiguous position made my heart beat missed a beat for a moment, and the feelings that were repressed before because of Rob began to crack like melting ice.

But only for a moment, I calm down again. The aristocrat probably likes to tease people like this, just like he thought freaks were fun.

"Yes, sir, please follow me." I tried to act as calm as possible and led him to the guest room on the first floor.

I led him to the largest guest room on the first floor and opened the door to signal him to give me back my phone. He remained expressionless and stood at the door with no intention of going in.

"Sir, it's already in the room, a maid will deliver the meal later." I said patiently out loud, spreading my hand for him to let him give me back my phone. This man was really strange.

"I said, take me to your room, don't make me say it a third time." Still a cold, emotionless voice, and no intention to give me back my phone. It seemed to be a condition that I would not get the phone without going to my room.

I couldn't help but get a headache thinking about the dirty mess in my room. If I insist on not letting him go, even if the Alpha came, he would only think that I was not well entertained, this abominable nobleman, I cursed him to die and must go to hell to be good.

I stopped talking and went up to the second floor without looking back, not looking to see if he was following me.

Before he entered the door, I hurriedly stuffed the clothes littered on the sofa chair and bed into the closet.

To my surprise, he came in and locked the door directly behind him, then fainted on the floor, white shirt surprisingly had some dark red halo. I screamed, legs weak, fell to the ground, only to find his face so pale, his forehead had some fine sweat.

A knock on the door, the people came must be the Alpha's own guard, heard my scream came to ask me what happened, I was just about to make a sound, a hand covered my mouth.

"Get out!"

He almost yelled out his voice, and then I heard footsteps fading away.

"Don't tell anyone unless ...... you don't want to know the whereabouts of your real parents."

Sylvester's POV.

Seeing a middle-aged blond man standing in front of me, I thought it must be Alpha Williams. Enduring the pain, I squeezed out a smile and shook his hand.

"Mr. Williams, do you mind if I want the woman in blue?"

"Of course Your Highness, it's an honor for her."

This old man did not even frown, with a false smile on his face, worthy of an old fox who could make the territory of Williams Pack gradually expand.

My vision gradually blurred a bit, I felt that I could not hold on anymore, but this old fox was quick, so I pretended that there was nothing unusual about taking the hand of the blue dress and walked aimlessly.

Waiting to leave the sight of that group of people, I stopped, the result of this stupid woman actually straight into me, I really did not know how many times I could suffer her bump. After adjusting my breathing and trying to sound normal, I ordered her to take me to her room.

All I got in response was a silence, I turned around and saw her hiding behind me again, following her line of sight, a man appeared in the hallway, I narrowed my eyes and asked her, "You're scared of him?"

"He's totally a freak alright!" Seeing her cover her mouth in panic, I wanted to laugh a little in my heart. She just covered her mouth and stared at me dumbfounded, then suddenly turned her head again, what an inexplicable woman.

"Freak? Sounds like fun." Looking at the guy's back, I could sense that he was something else, which made me a little curious about what he had done to make this stupid woman not even dare to look at him.

"Sir. There is something I am not quite sure what you mean by that comment just now."

Watching her struggle to pull away from the subject, my smile hardened and interrupted by the pain coming from my shoulder, couldn't wait any longer. I asked her with a stern face, "Is this Williams Pack's way of treating guests who have come a long way to stand here?"

"Miss Aisha has prepared the guest room for you, and I will let her show you." Watching her take out her cell phone to call the woman who talked too much, I immediately took away her cell phone, if she really called out, I was afraid I was going to die here.

Just now too much action, the wound should be cracked again, the bandage gauze was soaked by the blood seeping out and sticky on the skin, it was very uncomfortable. My patience had been exhausted by her, "I don't want to say it again, you take me."

"Yes, sir, please follow me."

Her words fell, I finally breathed a sigh of relief, but my vision gradually blurred and surged with heavy shadows, which should be a side effect of the pain. I shook my head hard to shake these heavy shadows out of my eyes, took out the painkiller hesitantly and stuffed it back in. The side effects would definitely make me pass out at this time, which was untimely.

After a few minutes, we're still in the first floor, this damn woman, how could she not understand human language.

"Sir, it's already in the room, a maid will deliver the meal later." After saying this, she leaned against the door and spread out her hand and reached out to me, as if to indicate that I should give her back her phone.

I took a deep breath to stay calm, resisting the urge to lose my temper and give her one last chance, if I didn't get a painkiller, I couldn't guarantee I wouldn't immediately faint on the floor.

"I told you, take me to your room and don't make me say it a third time."

Watching her silence for a moment, she turned and walked towards and up the stairs, and I knew that she was finally listening to human speech. I leaned against the handrail and pulled the gauze, a heart-wrenching pain. I moved it so that it did not stick to the surrounding skin. I wiped the sweat from my forehead, and the wound must have been infected.

Squeezed the phone in my hand, stupid woman, you better pray I can survive. I lifted a heavy step to follow her.

With the last bit of strength to lock the door behind me, I could no longer support myself and lay on the floor.

I could feel her staring at me in a blur, followed by a scream that almost pierced my eardrums.

God, her brain was not good, her voice was quite loud. The soldiers came, and I had to waste my energy to get rid of them.

I used my other uninjured hand to pull her over, covering her mouth that could not speak, until I heard the soldier walking away from the pace, I put my heart down to close my eyes, so a little while my strength was almost used up. And I was afraid of her IQ, in case she went to ask for help from other people, then my calculations were in vain. Touching the painkiller in my arms, damn Mark, today I suffered everything, I must double back to you after returning, just wait for it.

"Do not tell anyone, unless ...... you do not want to know the whereabouts of your real parents."

I hope this time, I bet right.
