Lora's words shocked me greatly. I'd known Edward for a long time and I had never heard him mention that he had a fiancee. Why did he hide it from me?

 

I remembered how Charles treated me before. I didn't want to be rejected by Mate again.

 

"I'll go back first." I fled the castle in disappointment.

 

I was transported back to my manor. As soon as I stood firm, I saw my friends waiting for me.

 

"You promised to come back at night, but you disappeared overnight. Do you know how worried we are about you?" Mia complained to me.
