Chapter 6

Chapter 6

"I never asked to be saved, especially by someone like you!" shouted Arina disapprovingly. Her eyes were still staring at Rion sharply.

Seeing Arina like that, Rion almost laughed. Moreover, there were black soot marks on the girl's cheeks and forehead, it made his unable to take his anger seriously.

"That's why you have to train a lot to maintain your life. Now you're just wasting your time!" Rion replied while taking a spoon and tasting Arina's cooking.

"And make this bad food."

"I made this for you as a token of my gratitude. It's not good, I'll throw it away and make it again," said Arina as she rushed to grab the hot pot filled with the dish. That girl then groaned in pain. There were red marks on his hands.

"You reckless!" dumbel Rion again. Arina glared at the young man again.

"This all happened because of you!" he said. Rion then held out a medicinal ointment to Arina.

"This treats your hands. You'd better stop, don't cook anymore," he said. Arina just stared at the medicine in the young man's hand.

"I don't need your medicine!" She said as she walked away.

Aldrich sat beside Arina and helped the girl treat her wound. Arina was silent. Earlier she wanted to treat herself, but Aldrich came and insisted on treating her hand.

'Doesn't he don't like me? Why do he is always act like this? This makes my feelings even more complicated,' said Arina in her heart.

"Let's eat first," Rion called to them.

"Today happens to be Princess Arina cooking for us."

Hearing that, Arina suddenly stood up and rushed to the dining table. She was surprised to see her food was right in the middle of the table. The girl then turned around and glared angrily at Rion.

'What is this? Now he even intends to embarrass me,' she muttered in anger.

Seeing everyone approaching to take their food, Arina immediately forbade and hindered. The girl glared at Rion who was wearing a sweet smile.

"Why is it forbidden? I want to taste it too," said Aldrich, taking a spoonful.

"Don't!" shouted Arina panicked as she grabbed that young man's hand.

"Wow, it tastes really good," Erland said with soy sauce.

"Princess, you are really good at cooking."

That young man gave a thumbs up. Arina was surprised to realize Erland had taken and ate her homemade food. Arina's brow furrowed deeply.

'Is his tongue numb? Why is such bad food said to be good?'

It wasn't long before Aldrich and Silva's grandmother also ate Arina's cooking. Arina who was still confused no longer prevented. She then turned to Rion.

'Did he do this to toy with me?' guessed it.

Aldrich who was eating his food also looked at Rion. His best friend used to cook for them often and it tasted similar to what he was eating now.

'Arina was obviously panicking because the cooking wasn't good. So it must have been Rion who did this, but what was he doing this for? Does he like Arina?'

Anger mixed with hatred seemed to come unexpectedly, especially when he saw Arina staring at Rion.

***

"Thank you," said Arina as she approached Rion. Although often annoyed with the young man, but this time Rion had helped her.

     Rion shrugged.

"I didn't do it for you. Grandma Silva already bought those groceries at a high price. How could I let them go to waste?"

'Okay, I know, maybe I shouldn't thank him,' Arina said to herself. He wouldn't want to admit even though he had helped me.

"It's okay, whatever your reasons, I'll still say thank you," she said. The girl then hurried back into the hut. Rion just looked at Arina with a long sigh.

The next morning, in the very early in the morning, Grandma Silva took Arina to go somewhere. The place is located in the forest. However, it is different from the forest that Arina visited when she was about to run away and when she met Rion and the others. This forest looks so bright. Even though the sunlight was still blocked by the leaves from the tall trees around Arina, it still emitted light that allowed Arina to enjoy the scenery around her.

The cheerful sound of birds chirping enlivened the shady morning atmosphere. The vibrant colors of wild flowers made Arina stare back in awe. She never got this atmosphere in the midst of the noise of the big city where she came from.

Arina closed her eyes again, taking a breath of fresh air. She had never really enjoyed this before.

"Are you ready?" said Silva's grandmother. Ariana looked confused. The old woman standing in front of her then explained that she was going to teach magic to Arina. Arina just stood in silence.

'Who does she think I am? Hermione Granger? How can I do magic? But if I fail, will they possibly throw me out?'

Even though she wanted to go home, Arina still didn't want to act recklessly and recklessly. She still remembers the black shadow that almost took her. Right now, she felt that Silva's grandmother's place was the safest. However, the old woman continued to misunderstand and assumed she was a princess, thus teaching her magic power.

***

"Focus, close your eyes now and try to destroy that rock!" Silva's grandmother ordered. This is the umpteenth time Arina has tried and she hasn't succeeded. Arina knew all this for sure because she wasn't a magician so it was impossible for her to do that.

'What happened to magic anyway? Isn't science supposed to turn someone into a frog? Is this really magic or internal power?' Arina grumbled in her heart.

Even so, Arina still complied. After repeatedly trying and failing, Silva's grandmother finally took Arina home. The sun is also rising. Arina felt bad, she felt she had let her down. In the end, only an apology left her mouth.

"It's okay, there's still tomorrow, we can try again. I believe the Princess can definitely do it," said Silva's grandmother with a smile. Ariana just nodded. She might not be the princess they want to find, but she would do her best to learn so that she wouldn't be disappointed them.

'If I mastering magic, maybe I can also find a way to return home. When there is any danger, I can deal with it myself. There's no need to stay here any longer.'

***

Arina dropped the sword in her hand. It really hurts to lift such a heavy sword. She was really amazed when Aldrich who said she wanted to teach her how to lift the sword even swung it like it was very light.

"Why? Are you having trouble? Here let me help you," said Aldrich as he took a sword and held it out to Arina. Reluctantly, Arina reached out to accept it.

Aldrich smiled at the girl's face. Her face was flushed with exhaustion and annoyance, but for him it still had captivated his heart. He didn't want to waste another chance. He had to make Arina closer to him through this joint training.
