Penelope’s POV

The beautiful white building stands quietly in the center of our pack, showing its mysterious beauty in the moonlight. I shift back into my human form and walk into the dark living room.

There was no one there and no light. Instead of feeling scared, I felt more and more excited.

"Alpha? Charles?" I cried tentatively, only to discover that my voice was unusually hoarse, but it wasn't water I was craving...

No one answered me.

I think Charles might be in his room on the second floor.
