Selena’s POV

He's a vampire!

My body reacts faster than my brain. My muscles tensed and I jumped so hard that I hit my head on the vampire's chin.

Ah! My head hurts.

"Ouch!" The vampire cries above my head. I guess I didn't make it easy for him, either.

He clutched his chin and said through gritted teeth, "B.itch! I'm going to suck your blood!"

I ran away without looking back. For some reason, my first instinct was not to run to the party to ask my father and the guests for help, but to run in the opposite direction.

They must be dancing happily now. If I lead...
