THIRD POV.
Marco entered the palace, ignoring the greetings that were thrown his way for the evening. He wasn't in the mood to answer any of them. His state of mind was a mess and he didn't need anyone adding anything to it so as not to worsen his calm state. As he was heading towards his room, his legs came to a halt as he watched his elder brother and his (Marco's) lover smile at each other like teenagers.
They seemed to have noticed that he was staring at them for a while so they looked at him at the same time.
"Ah Marco, you're back. I was wondering when you would come back seeing as you were absent the whole of last night and today." Lily said enthusiastically as she left Eric, her fiance, to speak with Marco with a smile. Eric followed right behind too almost immediately.
"We held the engagement party yesterday but you were nowhere to be found. We were clearly embarrassed and disappointed by your absence." Eric added and Lily nodded in agreement.
"I was expecting to see you there but you bailed out."
Marco sighed heavily and just quietly walked away without saying anything to them. He wasn't in the mood to do so. Lily pressed her lips firmly as she watched him leave. Sadness graced her eyes for a moment before she switched it up quickly when Eric held her waist and spoke to her.
Marco got to his bedroom and locked it. He immediately started taking off his clothes and led himself into the shower. He turned it on and the cold waters dropping from the tiny holes made his muscles feel relaxed. How could she play with his heart like that? Did she know how much this hurt him more than ever? How much he missed her presence and longed for her all the time? As much as he wanted to blame somebody, he couldn't.
He had a curse. No one would like to want to be with a cursed man. But then it shouldn't have been his brother. Lily could have found someone else out there then maybe he wouldn't have been this pained about it. But his heart still kept beating whenever he thought about her.
Marco's mind slowly moved towards the young lady that he had sex with last night and he paused while letting the water continue flowing down his body. The intensity...the connection aside that he was drunk, he wasn't too drunk to know that something bound them together that night. Remembering how afraid she was, she must have regretted it all. It was a mistake for her.
Marco wondered if there was any need to look for her but what reasons should he give? That he enjoyed their night together and he needed another one? No, that was going to be as bad as a chicken laying a rotten egg. He cleared it off his mind and continued taking his bath.

"So what do we do next? It's obvious that this plan didn't work so well." Bryan said to Kiara as he crossed his legs and placed them on the table like a master. Kiara was leaning by the window side with a glass of champagne in her hand. She was swirling it while looking at the outside world.
"The moon is beautiful tonight." She said.
"Come on, Kiara. There's nothing relating to the moon in this situation."
Kiara smiled, "The moon represents our situation. It's coming out of the clouds little by little and before you know it, it suddenly becomes free from these clouds and shines brighter."
"Stop speaking metaphorically and let us discuss the next step."
Kiara came to sit down beside him and kissed his lips, "Believe me when I say that things are going according to the way that they should. Although we couldn't get her to sleep with that man, we were able to use the fact that she was there against her, and knowing Olivia, she has always been so weak to defend her actions. If there's anything that we should work on, it should be sending her away from the house so you and I can date freely and then climb the position." She replied. Bryan shrugged afterwards.
"It sounds pretty good to me."
"Splendid "
As for Bryan, he would have chosen Olivia over Kiara multiple times but because his main aim wasn't about the sisters but the seat of power, he didn't care which sister it was. Moreover, being with Kiara provided him with better opportunities than being with Olivia, the hated daughter. One's got to be selfish before considering others.
As for Kiara, Bryan wasn't her type of man either. But she was always so infuriated by the act of love that they were always showing right in front of her. She never wanted Olivia to have the best of things so what was the greatest way of attacking her indirectly? Stealing her man.

"Yes, I was called," Marco responded after arriving in front of the elders of the pack.
"You may sit." One of the men instructed and he sat down. Marco looked around only to see his brother, Eric, sitting not quite far from him too. He tried to search in his head what exactly could be the issue or why he was called.
"Marco, you have been such a great man with a huge personality and we respect you for that. However, we can not interfere with how fate should be. We just allow it to happen because it's supposed to. Your brother is married..."
"Engaged. He is engaged." Marco interrupted.
"Well, we are not humans. Engagement equals marriage in the supernatural world if you don't know. The reason we called you here is to advise that you stay away from his woman, Lily. A little research was done here and there and we got to know that you and Lily were lovers before she got engaged. As a man, I understand how inconvenient that must be for you to see your ex-lover with your brother but like I said it's fate and we should let it happen the way it's supposed to happen. No one influenced her to choose Eric, she willingly decided to go for what was best for her. There is no bond between the two of you anymore. She is your sister-in-law and you should get to respect that. Don't try to bring up feelings again as that would be considered on your side an act of sexual harassment. If you intend on fighting for the throne of Alpha, you should have your garment as white as snow." The elderly man among them finished talking.
Marco looked at his brother again. He really wished to wipe that smugness off his face immediately but caution - he kept reminding himself.
"What if she decides not to marry him or be with him anymore?" He asked them.
"That's her decision to make."
"I find it absurd that you allowed this union to be in the first place which clearly speaks of the rotten hypocrisy going on here. All of you knew that Lily and I were in a relationship. How much I loved her and cared for her was all in your very eyes but you went ahead to organize her wedding with him and now you're telling me to stay away. Why didn't you tell that to him at first to avoid this mess?" He fumed.
"I think you must have skipped the part where I said that no one influenced her into choosing Eric, she willingly decided to go for what was best for her. It's none of our fault that you could not handle your relationship and treat the girl right."
Marco stood up at once and looked at all of them for the last time.
"I promise that you all will regret behaving like this. You will regret choosing this part and you will reap the seeds that you have sown." After saying that, he walked away from their midst.
"I apologize for his rude behavior." Eric stood up to speak.
"We are not new to it. This is one of the reasons why he will make a bad Alpha instead."
Immediately after Eric heard that, his heart beamed with joy.
"The fool keeps giving me chances to win this challenge without him knowing." He thought.

OLIVIA'S POV.
A few days had passed since that incident. My dad was hardly at home and there was no food at home for me to eat. Sophia was the only provider in that aspect. She would cook and bring the meal to me. I wasn't allowed to go out either. I was under lockdown mode by my father while Kiara was allowed to move gracefully. Bryan didn't even call me or message me. I dated him for more than a year and I grew so close to him - I gave him my heart to handle because I wanted to trust him. He blocked me on all social media platforms that we used to communicate with each other.
So I sat there in my dark room, crying my eyes out every time in confusion and then pain.
"Hey, I am at your door. Come and open it." Sophia said on the phone.
"Hmm," I replied and swiped the red button. I was on my bed feeling weak and dizzy too. I removed my blanket from my body and sat up. I closed my eyes tightly and reopened them to chase the dizziness away but it didn't work. However, I managed to stand up and walk to the door in that state.
"What's wrong with me?" I mumbled as I closed my door behind my back and walked slowly down the stairs. By the time I got to the last stair, I was unable to stand strong. The doorbell rang again which made me remember that there was someone that was even there. I got to the door and unlocked it.
"Hey, I have been waiting...my goodness, what's wrong with you?" Sophia asked and quickly entered. She put down her things and looked at me.
"I am not feeling well." I tried to smile while she eyed me.
"This is bad. Let's get you to a doctor. Your body temperature is high too and you look double sick too. This is really not good." She said quickly and I didn't have any strength to argue so I just agreed while she tried to book a quick appointment with any of the doctors that she knew. As I turned around and headed to the staircase so as to get read, I lost my balance and fell to the ground.
My head was aching so badly and the only thing I could hear before losing consciousness was Sophia's scream.
"Olivia!!!!"
