The next morning, after waking up, I put a call across to Marco but his number was unreachable. I saw his text that notified me of his arrival and that he was going to see the kids. He wouldn't be picking them up because it seemed like the issue at hand was more serious than he thought. Seeing that message without much explanation worried me a bit as I needed it.
