Alicia didn’t let me go back to the courtyard right away. She caught my hand and pulled me into the room again.

“You need to breathe, Luna,” she said with a little smile. “You just became a wife. Now you’ll become a Luna. Two ceremonies in one night. That’s a lot.”

I laughed softly, glancing at the gold band on my finger. “It feels strange,” I whispered.
