Ava's POV

Our walk to the car after my check up with the doctor, was very quiet and silent. There was a heaviness in the silence. We walked side by side and did not look at each other. Our footsteps matched, sinking in a rhythm, as we marched outside to the parking lot.

When we reached the car, Jasper did the courtesy of opening the passenger side door for me and helped me climb in. Then he walked over to the other side of the car and slid onto the driver seat. Closing the car door, he started the engine to pull the car out of the parking lot...
