Alice and joan to their great gladness emerged at the pack house in sparrow city. They stood at the entrance gate, trying to see if anyone was at the guard post, but it was empty. This made the two girls exchange looks. Alice had stayed in the Sparrow City pack house for a while and never once was the gate left unguarded.
