The promise I made to Stephanie kept ringing in my head as I made my way towards my study.

“I can't believe I actually agreed to save the one man who is a threat to my happiness with Stephanie." I muttered, plopping on my chair with a huff.

Shutting my eyes tightly, I snapped it open as my heart clenched tightly against my chest.

Is she finally showing her true self now? — I pondered, tilting my head to the side as I played and replayed her request in my head.
