I didn't expect him to answer me truthfully because he wasn't obliged to. Not even when I had gotten so mad and said mean words to him but he did.

"I went to check the fog. I need more details for me to be able to get rid of it," he replied.

I felt guilty for thinking he disappeared because he was making fun of me.

"You should have told me," I said looking down at my hands that were inside the water.

"Seeing you enjoying the water, I didn't want to disturb your swim. I thought you wouldn't notice that I was gone," he replied.
