Instead of Davies walking through the door, it was Alpha Gregory who made his entrance, his presence intimidating as ever.

“Stephanie, please forgive me." He assumed my earlier position. “I have wronged you and I don't deserve your forgiveness but please, overlook everything and let's start all over."
