If anyone had told me that one day I’d be sitting in my office sharing pack finance strategies with Gregory, I would have laughed in their face.
But here we were, several months down the line, and Gregory and I had become not friends, but something that looked dangerously close to it.
We talked more often than either of us would publicly admit, and when he needed help with council matters or leadership decisions, I stepped in.
Truthfully, I understood why he struggled.
Being without Stephanie was like missing a lung, you keep breathing, but it never feels like enough.
