"Ethel, Daphne's here." Doris popped her head outside, her eyes hard with severity.
I let out an annoyed groan. Daphne had come early, unaware that Nelson Morgan was coming for dinner.
"Bring her up to my bedroom." I nodded at Doris. She gave me an impatient look before turning her eyes to Nelson. Her golden eyes hardened then vanished from sight as she stepped back into the house.
