Katherine stared at her reflection. Her gown looked flawless and consumed her small frame just like a princess. Her makeup was expertly done, while her hair was swept into a soft bun. A white veil waited on the side, pinned delicately to a mannequin head. She looked like a bride. Elegant. Perfect.
Like something she would have dreamed of not from a storybook, but from the movies and from the magazines.
But her eyes betrayed her. They were swollen, red-rimmed and barely masked by concealers and worst of all, her nose was runny. She dumped the hundredth tissue in the bin...
