“Not if you die first,” Katherine said, her voice calm yet sly, as she stepped out into the open where they were.
Riley’s eyes widened. The crimson stain bloomed beneath her fingers as she clutched her stomach, blood oozing fast through her palms and white hot pain consumed her.
Her knees buckled and she staggered forward as another shot hit her in the same spot and then, she collapsed onto Lucifer, knocking the breath out of him.
Lucifer caught her out of instinct, his arms locking around her weight, trying to support it. But his eyes weren’t on her.
They were on Katherine.
He stared at her, stunned....
