Lucifer lit a cigarette he had no intention of finishing. Prolly his fifth or sixth. He had lost count. This was the longest he had ever smoked and he was losing it.
He couldn't grasp it even though he had seen evidence. It still made no sense to him. He couldn't understand it.
The cigar hung between his lips, abandoned, as he paced the length of Cassius’ small kitchen, his mind racing.
“She was right beside us all this time, I raised her and trained her,” he muttered. “Riley knew everything. My schedule. My passwords. Where I kept the guns. And this is what she gives me? ”...
